In order to continue serving the residents of the Akron Fire District, new members are constantly needed. Thankfully the VOLUNTEER members of the Akron Fire Department stand ready to serve you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
We are always looking to welcome new members! You don't need to possess any certifications or qualifications to become a member. Our training officers and programs offered by local Fire Departments will help you obtain the skills needed to become a first responder.
