The Akron Fire Company is located at 1 Main Street in Akron, New York. We are organization that proudly serves the residence of the Village of Akron and the Town of Newstead in Western New York. The Akron Fire Company was established in 1923 and have been 100% volunteer ever since!
The membership of the Akron Fire Company is comprised of individuals, living within the Fire District, who care about your community, home and family.
The Akron Fire Company provides fire, rescue and emergency medical service to approximately 3,000 residents in a two square mile area in the Village of Akron, New York as well as assisting neighboring fire companies. Answering 500 calls on average yearly, Akron Fire Company responds to EMS, Fire, Auto Accidents and general alarms.
Akron Fire Company currently owns 6 emergency apparatus that are housed between our Station 1 (1 Main Street) and Station 2 ( 20 Franklin Street ). The Akron Fire Company has 3 Fire Engines, 1 Light Rescue (EMS) and 1 UTV for off road emergencies. Click APARATUS for details of each truck.
