Established in 1923, the Akron Fire Company serves the residence of the village of Akron and the Town of Newstead in Western New York. Located at 1 Main Street, 30 volunteer members make up  the Akron Fire Company who respond to emergencies 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Akron Fire Company registers about about 500 calls per year ranging from EMS, Structure Fires, Car Accidents, Rescues, CO Detector Alarms and Fire Alarm Activations.
